Due to increasing production programs Eon is hiring:

• Technician and assembly personnel ($22 to $35 per hour depending on experience) with opportunity for career growth through experience and university education support

 

• Mid-Level or Senior Electrical Engineer ($120K/yr – $185K/yr depending on experience and qualifications)

Eon Instrumentation, Inc., an established defense and aerospace contractor, based in Van Nuys, California, is seeking a mid-level or Senior Electrical Engineer.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline

Minimum 5 years of experience in the design of analog and digital electronics, microcontrollers, and FPGAs.

Minimum of 3 years of experience is acceptable in combination with a Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline.

Proficiency with digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, electronic loads, and other test equipment.

Proficiency with Altium Designer, Quartus or Vivado, MS Word, MS Excel

Proficiency in C/C++, Assembly, Verilog/VHDL.

Excellent email and oral communication, specification and documentation skills

US Citizenship Required

Local candidates and Principals only (No Agencies)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in writing Data Items (Contractor Data Requirements List)

Designing interfaces between the datalink and physical layers in the OSI Model.

Experience with Configuration Management tools such as SOLIDWORKS PDM or similar

Experience with the following standards:

MIL-STD-461

MIL-STD-704+MIL-HDBK-704

MIL-STD-1629

MIL-HDBK-217

DO-254

Experience with industry standard video protocols, including:

SMPTE 259, 292, 424 (SD, HD, 3G-SDI)

NTSC

HDMI/DVI

Display/Port

VGA

MPEG-4/H.264 encoding

 

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $120,000 per year to $185,000 per year depending on qualifications and experience
